Go and care for those who are in need

Jesus directly telling us to go and care for those who   are in need

One of the big economic problems today is poverty and it is becoming worse everyday. Some people cannot help it, yet some people can. Some people may not be able to get out and get jobs to make some money because of health reasons or other issues, but others might be able to but are just to lazy. Either way, it is our responsibility to help needy people in any way we can. Whether we are helping them with chores, giving them money or food, or helping them get a job, we should care. The Bible says, “He that hath a bountiful eye shall be blessed; for he giveth of his bread to the poor.” God will bless anyone who gives to the poor.

In the Bible, God gives some commands about helping and caring for the poor. There is a parable that Jesus tells about a man who was stripped, beaten and left for dead. A Levite and a priest went by him but did not help him at all. Then a Samaritan saw him and bandaged his wounds, put him on his donkey, and took care of him. The one most likely not to help him did, and this is what we should do. When Jesus finished the parable he said, “…Go, and do thou likewise.” This is Jesus directly telling us to go and care for those who are in need

Today, there are many ways people are helping the poor and the less fortunate. One of the main ways is charities. “have been shown to be effective.” Many foundations and charity organizations are being created just for specific purposes.
The Bible also commands us this, “And if a brother be waxen poor, and fallen in decay with thee; then thou shalt relieve him: yea, though he be a stranger, or a sojourner; that he may live with thee.” Most of the time you help someone that is poor, you will not know them. They will be a stranger to you, but you should still help them. If you help someone, do not expect them to give you anything

SOME BIBLE VERSES THAT WILL ENCOURAGE US TO HELP OTHERS.

Philippians 2:4

Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.

Ephesians 4:32

Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

John 13:34-35

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Proverbs 21:13

Whoever closes his ear to the cry of the poor will himself call out and not be answered.

Proverbs 28:27

Whoever gives to the poor will not want, but he who hides his eyes will get many a curse.

1 John 3:17-18

But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.

Matthew 25:40

And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’

God Bless us ALL……
